As most of you know, my book "Inventions" was published in the fall of 2007.  I spent much of the fall of that year and the first half of 2008 at book signings and book readings around the country.  More information about the book can be found at my book website.  During the spring of 2008, I worked with a friend, Roberta Cantow, who developed a video to help publicize the book.  In 2007, I took a screewriting course and wrote a screenplay based on the book.  After completing the video, I asked Roberta to read the screenplay and provide her input.  Roberta passed the book along to a friend of her's, Patsy Hilbert.  Like Roberta, Patsy is an independent film maker and is also a screenwriter.  Patsy read the book and my screenplay and became interested in making the film.  In January 2010, we completed the last revision of the screenplay based on the input of Patsy's son,Darren Grant. Darren, a director, is now working with talent agents and production companies as we pursue the effort to have the script, Ambition, made into a movie.
